US-69 and US-75 run together north and south through Durant and are how we get here from Texas — straight up out of Fannin County. US-70 crosses east and west. Beyond those, SH-22, SH-48, SH-70E, SH-78, SH-91, and SH-199 fan out across the county, and most of our actual work is on the section roads past them. Calera, Colbert, Cartwright, Caddo, Bokchito, Blue, Kenefic, Achille, Bennington, Silo, Mead, and Platter are all normal territory. Cedar encroachment on pasture is the most consistent problem we see — grazing ground losing acreage every year to cedar and post oak that nobody has had time to fight.
